If I use a shared email platform, can another customer's bad sending get my mail paused?
In Refresh, each organization sends through its own Amazon SES tenant, with its own suppression list and its own pause state, so SES can pause one organization's tenant without touching the others. Each domain can also name a second sending region with the same DKIM keys, which takes over if the primary region is paused.
What you get
- Every organization with a verified domain gets its own SES tenant; its messages are sent as that tenant.
- Suppressions (bounces, complaints, unsubscribes) are kept per tenant, not pooled across customers.
- Bounce and complaint alerts can pause one organization, or one domain, before SES has to act.
- Per-domain failover to a second SES region uses the same DKIM keys, so alignment does not change.
- Every failover and pause is written to the audit log, and failovers appear on the public status page.
How it works
- Add a domain; the organization's tenant is created when the domain verifies.
- Optionally name a failover region on the domain page.
- Set bounce and complaint alerts under Settings, then Alerts, and choose whether they pause sending.
